We woke up in the morning before dawn
We dressed in lots of cloths and grabbed our guns
And on the way we saw a baby fawn
But we were looking for the bigger ones.
And with our muzzle loaders at our sides
We part our ways and wished each other well
Now I will set up where the creek divides
I know he will be where the big tree fell
I heard his 50 cal crack through the trees
I knew that once again his hunt was blessed
As I walked over I could feel the breeze
My big mistake, the wind was from the west
With more experience, I know I can.
The day should come, I out hunt my old man.

10 important things:
1. Seeing kids wear you bands shirts, or seeing your stickers on there car windows.
2. Waiting for a friend to come over and then finally hearing the doorbell ring.
3. The smell of evergreen when you wake up Christmas morning
4. That feeling you get when you know your band has just made a killer tune.
5. The feeling of accomplishment after winning a game.
6. The smell of a new pair of shoes.
7. The sight of a dog on point.
8. The overtone of a drum when you have them tuned just right.
9. The excitement when you walk into the school to start a new year.
10.The feeling you get when you see a big A on the top of a math test.
journal Today is another good day. I have been fighting a cold for the past week but I've tried to stay positive and as happy as I can be. I went to jazz band early at about 7:30 and like always that was kind of fun. Then I was very surprised to hear that we were having pep band instead of concert band during first hour. We pulled out some new tunes and we got out some old ones to polish up a bit. I'm real excited to play tonight. We have not had pep band for a long time.
What I noticed: The tag on the window by the office, the screws on the doors, the trojan head on the wall above the gym doors being a slightly different yellow then the rest of the signs, the cracks in the walls, carpet covers half of the building.
